Some very interesting works of entertainment – films, TV series – come out of Hollywood from time to time. Often, however, the drama behind the scenes, the interplay which we never see, in corporate and agency offices and at industry waterholes,
can be even more compelling.
What was the most difficult part of writing this story?
As I have said before I genuinely believe that all writing is hard. And the hardest part of all is to make it look easy, natural, effortless.
Recommend a book for us which was published within the last decade.

If you could have a drink with any living author, who would it be? Why?
I think I would enjoy having a drink with David Owen (Green Metropolis), Lea Lyon (The Double V Campaign), Steve Miska (Baghdad Underground Railway) and Elizabeth Frank (Louise Bogan: A Portrait). Each one is super smart and interesting
What are you working on now? What’s next?
I’m about to take a road trip to see a production of a play of mine. There are also a radio broadcast and a Zoom performance of my plays coming up. I recently published an article written with a couple of eminent physicians. I have other plays and a collection of stories in the works.

Seth Freeman is a writer of fiction, a playwright, a writer/producer for television, a journalist, and an educator. He co-founded the Chamber Theatre in Berkeley, CA, and his plays have been presented at over three hundred theaters and festivals around the world. He created the U.S. television series Lincoln Heights, and his work in TV has been recognized with multiple Emmys, Golden Globes and numerous other honors. His articles appear in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Hill, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, YaleGlobal and other periodicals. In 2019 he earned a Master’s degree in Public Health, and he dedicates time to initiatives involving education, healthcare, the empowerment of women and human rights.
